Florine Therese (Morin) Winslow, 91, passed away peacefully on December 20th, 2020 at her home in Manchester, CT, surrounded by family.
Florine was born in Van Buren, Maine, December 4th, 1929, to parents John B. and Mary C. (Laplante) Morin. She is survived by her sisters, Geraldine Covaleski of South Windsor, CT and Therese Poharcyk of Wethersfield, CT and a brother Wilfrid Morin of Bristol, CT. She is predeceased by siblings Florence (Morin) Kramas, Clifford , Herman, and Rudy.
She married James (Jim) Patrick Winslow on September 14th, 1949 in Hartford, CT. Jim passed away January 30th, 1992. They had been married 42 years. She worked at Arrow , Heart, and Hageman in Hartford before becoming a house wife. She has 3 Daughters: Claire (Winslow) Picone of Basking Ridge, New Jersey who's husband Thomas predeceased her, Lynn (Winslow) Curti of Manchester, CT and her husband Tony. And Julie Winslow of Palm Harbor, Florida.
Florine has 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren: Michael Picone of New Hope, Pa and wife Donna (Lacroche), and their 4 children Joseph, Matthew, Julia, and Anna. Kathryn Picone Powers of San Francisco and husband Jeremy, and their son Thomas. Robert Picone of Madison, New Jersey, and his wife Alison (Citrino) and their son Jack and daughter Ava. Christina (Curti) Defocy of Woodstock, Ct, and husband Dennis and their son Bodie. Stephen Curti of Manchester, CT. Kathleen (Curti) Chokas of Manchester, Ct and husband Nicholas and their daughter Autumn. And Tatiana Damboise of Bolton, CT.
Florine attended the Full Gospel Interdenominational Church with her daughter Lynn and her family while living with them for 28 years and had many friends there who cared for her. For many years she attended Senior Care of East Hartford where she made many crafts, friends, and just had a good time 6 days a week. This was her second home while her daughter Lynn and her husband Tony went to work and we are grateful for the care they gave her.
