Robert A. Toth (Totes), 70, of Waterbury, CT, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2020 after complications from an injury.

Robert, known to his family and friends as Bob or Totes, was born in Southington, Connecticut on August 22, 1949, son of Edwin A. Toth and Virginia (Voit) Toth. Growing up in Cheshire, Bob was a graduate of Cheshire High School. He went to Quinnipiac University, where he received his BA in Spanish, graduating Summa Cum Laude. After working for several years in the banking industry, Bob switched gears and worked for a number of years as a "tin knocker," eventually starting his own roofing business, Prevent Services. He earned his State of Connecticut teaching certification from Sacred Heart University and his State of Connecticut teaching endorsements from the University of Hartford. He went on to become a teacher for the City of Waterbury for many years. He was Activities Coordinator for the Spanish Action for Youth. He loved working with kids.

Bob was always saying that his greatest achievement in life was his son, Rob. Bob was his coach for Wolcott Midget Football and his coach for the Baseball Association of Wolcott for six years. He loved to brag about his son's accomplishments and was quick to show a recent picture or video of Rob's latest rodeo run. He was a loving father and cherished every minute spent with his son.

Bob was a true patriot who loved his country and was a strong supporter of the military. He was lifelong fan of the New York Yankees and the New York Giants. He was an avid sailor and was a member of the Essex Yacht Club for years. He was a member of the Wolcott Lions Club and served on the Wolcott Town Council. Bob loved working on home improvement projects, and he passed those skills onto his son. He loved being outdoors, especially near the water, fishing, golfing and gardening. He was loved by everyone he met and will be dearly missed by all.

Bob leaves behind to cherish his memory, his son, Robert J. Toth, of Ocala, FL, his brothers, Alan Toth and his wife, Carolyn, of Cheshire, CT, Richard Toth and his wife, Patricia, of Plantsville, CT, his nieces and nephews, and his former wife and close friend, Karen Milton.
